Twins
Well the Twins finally pulled a good string and picked up Jim Thome. Im gettin pretty excited about this season now. He has always been a twin killer it will be nice seeing him help us for once.

I agree, good move! It sounds like he'll spend most of the time on the bench. It should help, give Justin a day off, move Cuddy to first, Kubel to right and Thome to DH. Thome is old but still has alot of power. It will help, JJ Harty at third was a good move too. It wasn't worth re-signing Crede with all his injures the past couple years. Can't wait for this season to start!

I think Kubs is gonna be playing left the majority of the year. I think this year is the year they realize Delmon is a noshow

I think they are lookin back to the years when his brother was kind of a twin killer and they are hoping he has his potential but he really doesnt

RE: Twins
I like the JJ Harty deal and the Thome deal.. I'm upset they didn't get rid of Punto and resign Cabrera! Unless I missed something I think this is the case?
I'm sick of Punto getting the playing time he gets cuz of his efforts.. Sure he has a great glove but so does Cabrera and Cabrera is hands down a better hitter! Not really sure why they didn't resign him.. I know the asking price was a lot but they didn't even make him an offer! I thought he was a big reason the twins did so good towards the end of last season..
I would slide head first into first base every time too if it meant I got to play in the Majors!
Sorry had to vent!

the day is not wasted if I am!

I think everybody is in the no more punto boat. Plays his ass off but that doesnt help win championships

Yep, and I'm the captain of that boat! Looking at strikes doesn't help win them either. I like Harris but sometimes he's caught looking at strikes way too often.

Yea there's a few of em you could call out on that. As much as it kinda pained me I was glad to see it when Go Go was gone. I loved watching him play but man that kid just could not learn plate discipline. Had he just been able to learn that he would have been one hell of a player he could definitely cover some ground

I'd rather have Joe Nathan batting and use the DH for Gomez! I'm pretty sure Joe hit his first homerun in less plate appearances than Gomez. And pitchers are understandable to suck at the plate, not CF's.

RE: Twins
I am annoyed as much as anyone by Delmon's happy feet show in the outfield and wimpy singles. But the guy is so young that there is a chance we could be eating our words on a breakout season in the next year or two by Delmon. As Tori Hunter used to say about Mauer when everyone wanted more power out of him, "He's still young, wait till he gets his man muscles..."

I just can't wait to go to the new stadium and actually watch baseball outside and on real grass!

Yesterday, I knew nothing... Today, I know that!

Yes sir! We'll see how fair weather my wife is the first game we sit through when it's hovering around freezing and we're getting rained on. I for one don't mind, but we'll see after that first true "outdoor game" if she can hack the rest of our flex40's that are in April/May.

Fishing is much more than fish. It is the great occasion when we may return to the fine simplicity of our forefathers.

You don't have to pay the ones that are passed out and unconscious. Just get them out before they wake up. And I usually drop them off in someone elses lawn.

RE: Twins
I see the twins signed Hudson at second base!! This should give them a pretty solid team. I think they did a hell of a job this offseason in signing some key players. They said their payroll has went up to 96 million up from the 60 some million it was last year. Can't wait for the season to start all they need to do yet is resign Mauer
