A little update
Earlier this week we took a couple day trip over to Red Wing and stayed at the St. James Hotel, hit the casino and she did some shopping at some of the tourist traps.
On the way up and back, we checked out the Lake City harbor. The three cement fishing platforms on the break wall were all completely under water by a least a foot and a half. They were working on pulling all the boats out for the winter.
Bay Point in Red Wing was high also. Zero boat traffic from LC all the way up to RW. Stopped at the Four Seasons Sporting Goods Shop. The guy there said it's been lousy for fishing and no one is going out. The weather and water has definitely spoiled the fishing.

The hardest thing in life is knowing which bridge to cross and which one to burn.

RE: A little update
Carole and I drove to RW on Saturday and saw a few boats launching at the landing at Hok-si-la. Not many. I took a swing thru the park area in Lc and nobody fishing the breakwater area at all. Water is real high yet.

Man, this has been one crap year for river fishing. Fishing in general really.

I had a fantastic spring on the river. Usually don't fish the hot weather and didn't this year either. The crappy high/fluctuating water levels this fall has kept me off and time is running out (not a Red Wing bumper boat guy).
