Dash for...kids
Patti and I plan on hosting an event and with the dash for trash is in order I thought we could mix the two. This is our general outline.

Lake Zumbro- Sandy to the dam
$10 buy-in
Half goes to the USSA- site below if you are unfamiliar with them.
http://www.childswish.com/
$2.50 goes to the top trash hauls, payout TBD.
$2.50 goes to the fish hauls. payout TBD.
Likely prizes to be given out.
Brats, burgers, and chips will be provided. BYOB
Date TBD. Looking at May. Sundays work best for myself except the 9th. Likely from 8 til noon with a cookout following.
If this is something you would be interested in let me know dates that work. If there is enough interest on a certain date I will get things up and running.
Donations are much appreciated as well, please contact me via PM or this thread.
Ideas or input appreciated.

I'd love to do this. I'd have to check on dates, but May 2nd might be OK for me.

Ok lets work with May 2nd. I plan on matching the donation and would like to see at least a dozen people show up for a worthy cause...and free food. Right now we sit at 4 people.

I'll plan to have my boat full with myself and 3 others. Let me know if you want to be one of the 3.

RE: Dash for...kids
Hey hey, a SUNDAY event??? Shawing! I'm in for sure. I just heard an ad on the radio today for something like this. I think it was through KROC or something and they said if you registered by a certain date you could win prizes and other stuff. I'd like to lock up a spot on either boat, doesn't matter.

Starting gun is at 8:00. Weigh ins will be at noon. I'll have my hand-held scale along.

Fish will go by weight.

Garbage will go by weight.

Lake Zumbro Ponderosa launch sounds like it will be the preferred.

As far as food after I took out my grill and it is non-functional. Does anyone have one they could bring?

So I know how much food to pick up-

Matt Dufek- In my boat so far Brett Mielke. Room for two more. Case? Lou?
Andy Anderson
Tyler Holm
Nick Matti?
Courtney?
Youngsters and family?
Anyone else?

RE: Dash for...kids
Interesting point Ty. Tough to keep fish seperate in one livewell but tough to make it fair for each boat. Suggestions? Knowing exactly whos showing will help.

RE: Dash for...kids
One boat could have 2 people, one could have 4. Biggest 1 fish? Biggest 5 fish per boat?

On the trash portion... It worked well to have one guy running the boat, and one guy jumping up on shore to pickup trash.

Personally, I liked the format from before. 2 peops per boat (but that might take away the family aspect from Cricks, but he might be out of town already).

Everything was team driven then. I kinda like the 8-12:00 timeframe. Fish and trash included. If you get your 5 fish right away, you could spend more time picking up trash. If fishing is slow for your boat, you could concentrate on trash.

Could do 3 per boat too.

AA and I are in my boat so far.

I wasn't at the last one so I'm running on what I heard. I like it. Lets do top three fish per boat? Individual boats can decide how to spread the spoils. We can divide the people per boat once we know what we have going.

RE: Dash for...kids
RIGHT on. Me likes. Maybe do a kids under X don't count towards your team total, but can still participate towards trash and fish counts. This is a kids Dash! 2-3 adults and any # of kids? This would allow for the family aspect.

RE: Dash for...kids
Roger-

Ponderosa Ramp- Mouth made gun shot at 8.
Weigh ins at noon.

2-3 adults per boat. Kids under 13 dont count towards your total

Top three fish per boat by weight paid out 1/4

Top trash per boat by weight paid out 1/4.

1/2 goes to USSA plus my match. I'll post the confirmation.

Brats burgers and chips afterwards. I'll likely go buy a small grill since I need to replace my broken one anyways.

PS If we are in need of another boat I can bring my old one. Non-boaters dont hesitate to come, just need a capable vehicle, I have an extra ball.
